Congregations Multiplied
Reported over six yearsIn a county identified as the least-churched in the United States in 2006, congregations reportedly multiplied from 105 to 180 after leaders employed the strategy. In 2007, one church reported adding 1,000 people in seven months.
Crime Impacted
Washington • 2007–2008FBI reports showed crime declining across every major city in Washington. Cities reported decreases ranging from 15% to 50%; Yakima reported a 50% decrease and Seattle reached a 40-year low as leaders mobilized targeted prayer.
Epidemic Stopped
Reported in 2011A county commissioner reported the state’s worst whooping-cough epidemic and requested prayer. Cases were then reported to have declined dramatically from more than 1,000 to zero within six weeks.
Education Impacted
Reported in 2016A teacher serving at-risk youth requested prayer for student test scores. She reported that scores more than doubled in one semester, reaching the highest level of her 23-year career.
Drought & Economy
Kansas • 2009During the first days of the strategy’s launch, leaders reported more rain in one day than in the previous seven years. Five months later, the harvest was reportedly so large that help storing grain was requested from two other states.
City Economy
Reported in 2016City government and business councils requested prayer for 500 jobs. Leaders reported unemployment falling for the first time in five years and two companies moving to the city, creating hundreds of jobs beyond the original goal.
